§ 2-101. Agent.

(a)

The Director of Planning and Building, or his or her designee, is appointed to be the Town Council's agent to administer and enforce this ordinance. The agent's approval, disapproval, or other action shall be that of the governing body.

(b)

The agent shall exercise authority to review, approve and disapprove the final plats for the subdivision of land within the corporate limits of the Town of Blacksburg.

(c)

The agent shall exercise authority to review, approve and disapprove plans for the construction of public facilities within new subdivisions within the corporate limits of the Town of Blacksburg.

(d)

All departments, officials and public employees of the Town who are vested with the duty or authority to issue permits or approvals under this chapter shall adhere and conform to the provisions of this chapter. Any such approvals or permits issued in conflict with the provisions of this chapter shall be null and void.
